Happy Cultures, a social enterprise, was founded in 2017 in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh (India). It envisions providing livelihood opportunities to the underprivileged but creative community. Inspired by bringing a revolution in Handicraft and driven by his zeal to manifest the same, our Founder, Piyush, since the very inception of the idea, has continued to persevere for a two-fold vision: revive the art of handicraft and uplift the lives of the artisans. From imagination to creation of every single craft work, he has been a proactive visionary which made it possible for Happy Cultures become what it is today.
“EVEN THEY SAY ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY.”
Happy Cultures mission is of leveraging the creative potential of the under privileged communities, and to provide them with a better life and dignity. It works with hundreds of villagers to train them into artisans and then help them get a fair remuneration for their work.
We trained the farmers to learn to create artwork. We made them learn the importance of alternate avenues of income and liberty of flexible working hours. With learning, we have increased employability.
Once skilled with the artisanship, we made them understand as how to put the skill to use. We identified eco-friendly & other utility products & supported them with the relevant know how, bringing it to the market. This helps them earn and cultivate integrity.
With learning and support, they know how to earn with dignity and eventually grow towards a better tomorrow.
